As a Software Development Manager, you will be a key contributor to our technology team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge applications. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the development team, addressing any production issues that may arise.
• Take full accountability for meeting delivery deadlines and ensuring project expectations are met.
• Architect, build, and sustain resilient and scalable web applications, encompassing both front-end and back-end development.
• Foster collaboration with product managers and UX/UI designers to transform wireframes and designs into functional code.
• Take on a leadership role by guiding and mentoring junior developers, offering expertise in best practices and conducting thorough code reviews.
• Implement and maintain API integrations with third-party services and internal systems.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and security standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.
• Remain informed and updated of emerging technologies and trends, actively proposing and implementing innovative solutions.

Experience/Tech Stack Requirement

• Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in development, including a track record of 3 years in a leadership role as a Lead/SW Development Manager.
• Demonstrated team player with strong interpersonal skills, adept problem-solving abilities, excellent writing and communication skills, effective multitasking and time-management capabilities, along with a keen ability to prioritize tasks.
• Possess a proven track record of effectively managing the delivery side, consistently meeting deadlines, and demonstrating a keen understanding of software development delivery expectations.
• Comprehensive expertise, knowledge, and/or experience encompassing the majority, if not all, of the following:
• Test Driven Development (TDD) - preferably using Jest and PHP Unit.
• Modern Web Languages - HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript/ECMAScript 2015+ (ES6+).
• MVC frameworks – Laravel.
• PHP - all common language features for versions PHP 7.x & 8.x.
• Laravel - All features including queues, broadcasting/web sockets (Laravel Echo), Active Record. (Eloquent), middleware, service providers, database migrations, etc.
• RESTful APIs.
• API (session-less) authentication - OAuth, JSON Web Tokens, etc.
• Commonly used software design patterns and principles - SOLID, DRY, etc.
• Relational databases, design & best practices - MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
• Web Servers - Nginx, Apache, etc.
• Linux Environments - Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
